So, which yoga poses can help heat things up in the bedroom? Here are five that can fire up your sex life.

1. Cobra pose

“Cobra is one of the best spine and core-strengthening postures in yoga,” says yoga instructor Dean Pohlman, the founder of Man Flow Yoga. When you have a strong core, you’re able to thrust and have more control over your pelvis, which can make for better performance, says sexologist Lawrence A. Siegel, CSE, AASECT.
To do cobra, lie on your stomach, and place your hands under your shoulders with your elbows pointing straight back, close to your sides. “Spread your fingers wide and relax palms under your shoulders. Engage and rotate thighs inward so kneecaps point straight down and all toes are touching the floor. Squeeze your big toes, ankles, knees, and inner thighs toward each other,” says Pohlman.
Press your pelvis into the floor and inhale as you use your core to lengthen the spine forward and slightly lift your chest away from the floor. Pull shoulder blades down and toward each other, and use your hands to pull (not push) your body forward and up. Hold the posture for 30-120 seconds, for one to two sets.

2. Reclining bound angle pose

Sit with knees bent and the soles of the feet touching. Use rolled-up blankets or towels under each thigh for support and lie back until your upper back and head are also resting on neatly folded towels or blankets. Hands can lie flat on the belly with the thumbs and index fingers touching to form a triangle, or you can let your arms lie on the floor alongside your torso, with palms facing up. Stay in this pose for two or three minutes, allowing your body to relax and sink into the floor.
What it does: Stretches inner thigh and groin muscles. Gently increases circulation in the pelvis, opens the hips and the heart. Promotes deep relaxation. Relieves stress. In this pose, people often shed layers of anxiety and tend to feel a natural openness and sense of intimacy, Weintraub says.
3. Cat-Cow pose

During cat–cow pose, you will flex and extend your spine. These movements will tone your hips and pelvis. They also increase blood flow to these areas and strengthen the muscles that support your genitals. The result? Better sexual function and performance.

4. Pigeon Pose

Pigeon is a deep hip-opening posture. If your hips are tight, it can take weeks or even months of regular practice to get into the full expression of this pose. If you’re patient, however, you will reap the benefit of greater flexibility in the hip area.
5. Happy Baby pose

This pose – and hip openers in general – is great for releasing stress and anxiety. Happy Baby releases the lower back, sacrum, and glutes, and stretches the hamstrings and spine. It also aids in relieving fatigue while calming the nervous system. It is nearly impossible to not feel a sense of fun and joy in this pose, which can translate to the bedroom.
